Docho Minami Energy Center makes the urban environment more pleasant and preserves the natural environment.

Docho Minami Energy Center started operation in 2004 as the third energy supply facility managed by the Hokkaido Heat Supply Corporation. The center is part of a district heat supply project.
A cogeneration plant is installed in the basement of the Urban Net Sapporo Building. The plant consists of a highly efficient, lean-burning, Miller-cycle natural-gas turbine generator, a steam boiler and an absorption chiller and it supplies electricity, heat and cold energy to the building. It also supplies heat and cold energy to the neighboring hotel and hospital.
