Evaluation of the effects of applying dispersed power systems (i.e. fuel cells) to houses in cold regions and research on optimization of these systems are conducted jointly with the of Hokkaido University’s Graduate School of Engineering in the Low-Energy House situated on the university campus. Research is also under way on compound utilization of fuel cells with wind, geothermal, solar and other natural energy utilization systems installed in the Low-Energy House.
